In a common nice day, I checked my app statistics on the Google Play Developer Console as usual…. WHAAAT!? Why is suddenly the total installs chart was going down at 29 November?

Theoretically, this is impossible. By definition the total installs is “The total number of unique users who have ever installed this app on one or more of their devices.” So I did some researches, and it happens that Google changed its mind 😀

I thought it uses a standard everybody-thinks counter system. It should be, but it is not. Thus, I wonder what is the “new criteria”?

However, what can I do… Google owns it so it can do as it pleases, fortunately I just lost 517 user counts…
